Oklahoma State this weekend

I'm all over the place in how I think this goes tomorrow. Part of me thinks they win a close, low-scoring one something like 55-51.

Another part of me thinks our defense stifles them and we win in a rout something like 71-54.

No in between.
Their guards can be very streaky shooters. That can go off and hit really tough shots and then have games where they don’t hit anything. Cisse is a difference make too in terms of rim protection. I wonder if he plays tomorrow?

Wonder if they factor in an emotional letdown for ISU.

It's not like OSU is a bad team either way.

Hopefully ISU just has a chance late and then it can come down to some luck.

Ok st has had a rough season so I’m sure they’ll shoot 80% crowd looked pretty decent for them last game, a little over 10k so I’m guessing it’ll be sold out for us but maybe that was because it was rival ou

Lol, no.

I was at the triple OT game when we were both ranked and the place was barely half full. Granted, it was a week night, but to get only 5 to 6 k for a dual ranked matchup is pathetic

This likely won't even be close to a sell out.

This is a bad matchup, in terms of a "lower quality team" matching up well with us. OSU is long, athletic, and can defend. Potentially that means they can lock down the perimeter, create havoc blocking our lane shots, and can man up in the post (where we've had a decent advantage in Big 12 play). Their offense struggles, but they have a chance to create transition oops on the defensive end and score easy points.

Its paramount that we limit TOs, rebound well, and have better shot selection than we had against Texas. This is another game where I think the athleticism and defensive aggression will make BRE a major liability. They have the length to defend straight up and he's and easy double when he takes his time.

Limiting offense boards/second chance points will be crucial as will making their offense succeed in the half court. If we do those things they will likely have a hard time scoring enough points.

Agree,...seems like RJ is going to have limited off success....BIG O, watson, Ward ....can they have an athletic advantage in the post/wing?

The guys doing their game last night said that he was available but their coach said he’d just started practicing. He looked bad in his two minutes too.

Even if he plays on Saturday, it’d be surprising if it’s any more than ten minutes.
I'd want BRE out there for most of his minutes to bang him around.

Wouldn't OSU be more likely to have the emotional let down? They beat their in state rival. And with one less day of rest than us between games.

Yeah could be.

There was a lot of build up to ISU/Texas.

Might help being 4 days between games.

It's a road game in the B12, it will be a battle, for ISU to win, they are going to have to grind out a victory. Games like this are the ones that Kansas wins. If we want to be in the dissuasion for a conference championship, we have to win the game. It's really that simple.
