49ers - Brock Purdy - Still and Always #1

Love Brock but I hope Parsons eats his lunch next week.

There’s a good 49ers article on Si.com. I can’t link since I’m on my phone. But it describes Purdy walking into the stadium Saturday: “He looked like a baby faced teacher heading into a middle school math class he’ll never control”.

That might be the best thing I’ve read!

Ian Rapoport is reporting that Purdy and Brady are among qb options for next season. Unless I’m reading that wrong, that’s not a good sign for Trey Lance, and I just don’t see them going with Brady. Brock is the dude.

Makes no sense to bring Brady over. He will cost more than Lance with no upside.

I can’t imagine watching Brady play football this year then thinking that you’d want him on your team.

I got ya

Maybe not the 9ers or most teams, but Brady had 4,700 yards, 25 TDs and 9 Ints this year. If you were the Jets or Dolphins, I think you might want him for one year.

I couldn’t agree with this more
I’m with you.

At some point people are going to be right because no one is going to win every game. And then people will pounce on Purdy like “I told you so”. As though predicting last pick in the draft, rookie QB to not win a Super Bowl is going out on a f**king limb. It’s so dumb.

As i stated earlier, I think there are less than 35 QBs in the history of football that have won a Super Bowl. If this is anyone’s bar for success, they’re absolutely insane.

Here are a few QBs that never won one. Marino, Kelly, Tarkington, Moon, Cunningham, Fouts, Rivers, Esiason, etc. several are hall of farmers.

It’s just such a dumb conversation with so many fans and talking heads.

I'm assuming wherever he goes he's going to want to have a good o-line. That Bucs o-line was a mess and got worked last night and Brady has zero mobility

Would love to see Purdy and Brady battle it out in training camp.

*Brady walks into the locker room on day 1 and finds an unmarked envelope in his locker*

*Inside, he finds a folded note*

Dear Tom,

Gisele asked me to share our exciting news.

Love,
Big **** Brock

If Brock can make the offense go, and there is no reason to think he can't, he gives them by far the best financial situation. Trey Lance still has a lot of value thanks to his contract so they can try to trade him or keep him as backup. The Brady thing just makes zero sense right now.

San Fran likely prefers Brock because his contract provides a lot of flexibilty to sign/retain players.
