Welp. Time to hit the ignore button on this doofus.
Was the guy who pointed out Campbells record in close games a doofus too? Pointing out facts and raising concern when hearing about facts doesnt make you a troll or a hok! I want Purdy to win the Super Bowl! It would make recruiting so much better than what Matt and co. have already done.

I loved when they showed Brock's senior High School MVP photo and he looked so young and the guys calling the game pointed out 2017 wasn't that long ago.

In situations like this playing the second half of season into post season matters too vs first half.

Breece was definitely rookie of the year caliber but it's just different to dominate end of season into playoffs or through playoffs.

I think it's this week that they vote on the regular season awards. Even if Brock balls out in the playoffs, it won't be included.

I guess I would be in the camp that he should be fully considered. Who is the best offensive rookie right now? There can't be many more impressive than a QB who has dominated league QB stats for the 6 final games.

It would be really nuts if Breece had stayed healthy. Looks like Jets ran out of gas and I wonder if he'd have got them an extra W or two at least with his big play ability.

Marketing, baby!

If Purdy can win a championship he can market himself as Mr Irrelevant and print money as a player and when he finally hangs it up.

Mr Irrelevant is GREAT! The underdog who made good. Who doesn't love that story and wouldn't mind having him as a paid speaker?
Yeah.....maybe in 20 years they will make a big Hollywood movie about this Quarterback that rose from the cold wasteland of the Iowa plains to become a Great NFL quarterback....Hmm. Why does that sound familiar. :jimlad:

Garrett Wilson has a solid case. 83/1100/4 is a good campaign for any receiver let alone a rookie on a team that has Zach Wilson/Mike White/Joe Flacco throwing him the ball. Chris Olave is right behind him. KWIII's 1200 all-purpose yds and 9 TDs ain't nothing to sneeze at either. Brock's ultimately going to get downgraded since it was only 6 games regardless of how good those 6 were. We also tend to forget that he came in during garbage time against KC and looked every bit the raw rookie he was against a defense that wasn't very good.

Playing an entire game vs coming in during garbage time when the starters aren’t playing on either side is a completely different thing. That can be thrown out and you know that.

Brock ends Kingsbury’s job at Cards.

Without looking I feel like that might have happened before? I know we had a run of dominating Texas tech.

I think he def probably made huge improvements in his weeks as a backup playing against 9ers d in practice, but agree putting emphasis on a short mopup stint is silly.

It’s included in his season stats which is plenty fair.

I imagine a lot of teams would like to phase a young qb in slowly but it rarely works that way. Steve Young is actually the example I remember of that although I think he was like a third year player.

Young played 2 years in the USFL and 2 years with the Bucs before he came to the 49ers. He then spent 4 years as Montana's backup and probably would have stayed that way a couple more years had Joe stayed healthy.

That's wild, I was pretty young but only remembered he had been a backup a long time and was then awesome. I heard him talking about Purdy and about how he was way worse with the Bucs than Purdy is showing.

I saw yesterday that Breece ended up as the Jets leading rusher despite not playing half the season.

Host of “The Gym” on KGYM 1600 in CR from 3 to 4 today said Purdy won’t win NFC ROTY…. and that he basically is just benefiting from having Kittle, McCaffrey, Samuel, Ayuik, etc.

Pretty much didn’t give Purdy any credit at all. This is exactly what ISU fans despise about all these radio shows…. so slanted towards Iowa no matter what, and always slighting anything ISU. It’s BS.

Every great NFL QB has had studs to throw to and RBs to carry the ball.
