Not just cancer but prostate problems as well.It is a thing but it isn’t a very high percentage, between 10-15% and is only for more aggressive prostate cancer usually. While it is still a risk, if you are an otherwise healthy male the risk is low.

If she is worried about being nauseous there are plenty of drugs you can take for that. No reason to deliver without pain meds unless your Dr gives you a reason not to. You’re just getting additional pain when you didn’t have to.My wife choose not to because she didn’t want the nausea. She did fine. She thinks you’re a big ***** but that’s mostly because you’re a spartan fan.
Not a urologist (emergency med) but I haven’t heard of any problems outside of the cancer risk that is still up for debate. Not just cancer but prostate problems as well.
What if our wives had c sections?
Show their solidarity with women who don't for birth. Be real men.

Not sure why there would be a cancer risk associated with the procedure… am I missing something? Not a urologist (emergency med) but I haven’t heard of any problems outside of the cancer risk that is still up for debate.
Again the idea of it isn’t a certainty but there is research going for it. I’ve never heard of it being a reason to recommend against a vasectomy for a healthy male otherwiseNot sure why there would be a cancer risk associated with the procedure… am I missing something?
The unmedicated comment was mostly a joke but interesting to see the responses.
Triggering for me for sure. Had a lot of patients deny pain meds wanting a “natural” birth only to scream for them when they could no longer be safely administered. You got them all riled up.

Vasectomy crowdTriggering for me for sure. Had a lot of patients deny pain meds wanting a “natural” birth only to scream for them when they could no longer be safely administered.
I’ve also had a patient come in because “something is wrong down there” and they were actively giving birth having no idea they were even pregnant.
Except novacaine at the dentist. Life is much better when you tell them none of that crap.Hmmm, rum kicking in tonight?![]()
Personally I've always believed all drugs are good drugs as long as they don't hurt me in the long run.
It’s the doom and gloom thing because some research says you could be at higher risk. The number of men you know in your life that have had a vasectomy and never had any prostate issues is insanely high. It’s along the lines of having a side affect to medications. Sure they are there because it has happened, but if you want to live your life based on the low percentage go for it.Again the idea of it isn’t a certainty but there is research going for it. I’ve never heard of it being a reason to recommend against a vasectomy for a healthy male otherwise

Vasectomy and Prostate Cancer Risk: A 38-Year Nationwide Cohort Study - PubMed
Vasectomy is associated with a statistically significantly increased long-term risk of prostate cancer. The absolute increased risk following vasectomy is nevertheless small, but our finding supports a relationship between reproductive factors and prostate cancer risk.pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

No a female getting her tubes tied is a very invasive procedure. For men it’s outpatient back on their feet in a couple of days no issues. Tubal ligation is much more serious, can have horrible side effects and takes much longer to recover from.Interesting. Thanks for the link. On the other side of the coin, I’ve heard (and maybe this is hearsay?) that a woman getting her female equivalent of a surgery is more likely to have issues than a vasectomy but then again, I didn’t really argue much with my wife when I did it as it wasn’t a huge deal to me.
