I heard last week that ESPN owns something like 14 bowls games. So many of the games are just a made-for-TV game to fill ESPN's schedule.

ESPN owns/operates 16 bowl games. 11 of those are games that they created out of thin air in the last 20 years.

12 of the 16 pre-Christmas bowl games are under the ESPN ownership umbrella, and the other 4 are usually right after (between Dec. 26-28).

I'm cheering for OU. I have much less hate for OU than Texass though.

Agree he should have stuck being a DC. OU isn't putting up with sub .500 seasons.

It's kind of ironic that OU joined forces with UT in betraying the Big XII, since they ran away from the SWC to get away from them and join the Missouri Valley, the predecessor to the Big 8 back in 1925.

Nah, just think of them as a trial run for guys thinking about hitting the portal or sticking around. For some it is the 1st time they get to see extended play and impress the coaches.
