I know the list probably isn’t accurate, but watching Hawk fans get their panties all in a bunch was fun.
It was for the covid year, so we had a lot more games than a lot of the big 10 schools.

I looked into that data once for a project. It's clearly funky data, I think because different athletic departments report things different ways, have different definitions of what is sport-specific revenue vs. AD revenue, etc.Here's the article link, along with the "methodology" for this analysis:

So basically, it is just a list of everyone's 2019/2020 season income. Which may be distorted due to covid.

It might very well be a balance sheet issue. JP is very savvy on accounting. I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of these big programs have huge debt.
