Legit shocked nobody noticed the GFS, smoking its own socks again, was throwing up low to mid 60s in Des Moines and southern Iowa next Thursday.

Model fantasyland is quite the experience.

Not from that source but did noticed the warm up predicted for the day or two before NYE. What are the confidence levels we'll have a temp in the 40s, mixed in with rain and it'll be a muddy mess outside.

Well MrsWx is getting extended to a 16 hour day at the hospital (she had a scheduled on call shift after her normal shift). That should be a fun drive home at damn near midnight.
My wife is an RT at one of the CR hospitals, works weekend package. She also works three shifts during the week in Champaign. The drive home today was not a fun one she said. With the hospitals already short staffed, this weather doesn't help with any workers from out of town.

I like the idea of weekend package for the money but I also don't want to handle all three kids by myself every weekend. On the plus side the 4 hours after her normal shift is double time.

I agree and disagree. A second made about 10% more work. That part has felt manageable but we had a pretty tough time with sleep and other things with first.

And agree that 2 has nothing on 3-4. Mom friend called it ******* fours and yep. So sweet sometimes and others you are like I see how people lock kids in closets o_O
Terrible 2's
Terminal 3's

Just made it back from a delivery run because of company screw up (it was supposed to be direct shipped) It took about a extra hour and a half on a 200 mile round trip. Combination of 4 lane and county roads. Full disclosure I did not push it at all.

However if your leaving the Des Moines metro and headed north on 35 the kum and go at the Cambridge Huxley (hwy 210) exit has e15 for 1.99/gallon.

Not exactly sure.
Trash is better than flushing things down the toilet that require a plumber to remove.
We had friends over once and about a week later our spare bathroom toilet had to get plunged every other time. Mad once I bought a snake and tried snaking it. The second or third time, it pulled hard, I yanked and yanked and Skelator was stuck on the end of it. Worked better after that. Their kid flushed stuff, ours threw stuff in the garbage.

Kids’, yours, or both? My kids all had them when younger but I am only one who needs one now. That would be crushing.

his - we had a backup so we all survived but had just gotten that one like 2 days prior via a midnight ER trip for his breathing. I was 32 weeks with the 2nd. Then got on an 8am call with about 3 hours sleep which still sits in my mind as one of the DUMBEST meetings I've ever attended - two men talking about filing for an award on a project where they had done.....not enough work to warrant the manner in which they spoke. ANYWAY clearly not still bitter 1.5 yrs later. It took every fiber to not be like k, this is dumb as ****, I'm going back to bed.

So I was highly displeased a couple days later at the very purposeful running by the 2.5yr old from me and opening toilet to throw in. He knew I couldn't catch him.

So are others having their furnace keeping up today? We're sitting about 4° below the set temp. Wasn't sure whether this is what others are seeing or if I should be doing some investigations. Never remember having an issue with previous houses, but we were always pretty well protected from wind.

When it’s time to pick up toys or go to bed, they have cement feet. Time to do something bad, Usain Bolt. And they love cold and snow way too much. Just cleaning up when they come in from that is exhausting.
