Hate that they said that then never gave her maiden name... Carmen Jaspers, she is from Ackley. She played 86-89 it looks like.
What?!! I didn't know that. I knew Carmen while at ISU. Let me clarify, I was acquainted with Carmen while at ISU.

Not terribly impressed with what I have seen out of Texas Tech this year. They just don't look quite as scary on either end of the floor. Could improve of course.
I'm in a holding pattern w/ Adams at Tech. I think he held serve last season after Beard departure, did even better than I might have expected. We'll see if it's maintained or slips back a little to more typical TT level.

I consider then to be Auburn - football esque.
A couple Nattys, usually good, can beat big bro, but can also have terrible seasons sprinkled in.
That’s a pretty dang good comp right off the top of my head.

A geeky aspect of non-conference season, is seeing schedules of lower-end D1 teams and finding schools I hadn't realized exist.

Today's example: Niagara played (and defeated) D'Youville University (based in Buffalo, NY).

Holiday CBB tournaments get me pumped like no other. It’s so fun to watch these talented teams go at it before the endless grind of conference familiarity devolves the game in to some kind of brutal hand to hand combat.
Yeah its fun to watch all these great teams play. Feels intense without the pressure of the NCAA tournament

Creighton might run out of time in this one vs. Arizona. Still 4-ish minutes left, but double-digit deficit.
Of course I had Zona -2.5 and Creighton comes back to lose by 2.

Testifying
Creighton fought hard in that second half. That's a damn good team.
