You never want to take the safety, but that was the situation for it.

It’s a 2 pt game and you’re punting it back to Minny who just needs a FG to win.

It was the right call because you probably feel like Allen can get a yard and worse case scenario you get a safety. You never would anticipate a fumble.

To be clear I don't believe it changed the outcome. Buffalo still easily get a field goal attempt because the Vikings defense wasn't actually on the field at the end.

Yeah the thought of taking a safety in that situation is idiotic. You have to execute two sneaks with Josh Allen to win. Hell even if you don’t execute but don’t fumble then you give up a safety. No way you go to a two point lead and give back the ball.
