I believe that's everyone who used to wear Cardinal and Gold, using up their eligibility in other places. That's a lot of defections and recruiting misses over the last 3-4 years! I am honestly surprised a lot of these guys still have eligibility. I'll try my best to keep updating this throughout the season.

There are a lot of rebounds on this list.

Freshman at Northwest Missouri State (Division II)
Sophomore at Kirkwood Community College
Junior PWO at Iowa State, actually saw some playing time on a thin roster (5.36 MPG)
Senior at UNI (started most games, 33.1 MPG, scored 8.4 PPG on 43.6% 3PT shooting)

Funny he was so good at UNI yet such a nonfactor in Ames.

This game honestly feels like it was played at least 5 years ago, even though it's only been like 2 1/2 seasons.

Exactly how I feel.

For me it might be something weird about the pandemic period, everything in '19 & early '20 seems WAY longer ago than it actually is. ... combining that with the player/coach turnover since then probably exacerbates the feeling.

Nice pull on McNeill, I had forgotten about him. Had to look him up, and I think he is on the roster for Troy, but does not appear in the box score from their first game. If so, he is on his 4th school I believe. Cal-SMU-UTSA-Troy.

Marcedus Leech also plays Division II basketball at Davenport University in Michigan. Looks like he actually had a pretty good year last year - averaged 13 points and 5 rebounds and shot over 40% from 3.

Leech was another big miss under Prohm. Big time high school prospect, who was talking to Kentucky, until he broke his leg (& had stress fractures) & still wasn't 100 percent when he showed up on campus. In a year or two when he was full speed, he was supposed to be a superstar. Didn't even make it to the first game.

Prohm landed a few studs but ultimately truly sucked at recruiting. That was his downfall.

Think Prohm's biggest downfall was hiring a staff that was predominately from the south and just got leftovers after the THT / Hali class.
