It sounded like a pretty mediocre crowd on TV but wasn't sure if that was ESPN+. Granted the first 3 quarters didn't have much to cheer about

I don't like the student section move but it is what it is. And you know what really makes a crowd loud? Winning games. Keep that up, we won't complain about where people are at.
Its already been solved, you setup 3 rows of risers below the students and part of south end zone on the field. Then you setup North endzone with a stage and a speaker array and fix the sound system.
Dont know him but hire a travelling sound crew to come set the sound system up in August, weatherize it, take it down in December. These guys are sound experts.
Our home wins this season have had a pretty blah quality to them, for whatever reason. Even back when we were 3-0 and optimism for the rest of the season was still high.
Bad weather leading up to the game, bad opponent, bad season. It was ok considering everything. I was expecting worse.

Low stakes, blowouts, and/or poor offense. Similar to a game at Hilton, it's about momentum, and we haven't been able to string 2-3 moments together that gets the crowd in a frenzy.
This and U2 in 92. There was a nice run of stadium concerts in the early 90’s.
Seems like all TV games use canned crowd noise now. Irritating if you really listen to it. Even Stanford empty stadium has crowd noise.
It is beyond AWFUL! Drives me nuts, and I stop watching casual games because of it and turn down the volume on games I care about. Terrible TV marketing decision.

Could be worse, could've had a visiting band there too, like we did last year.
I was sitting roughly equidistant from the 2 bands yesterday. When they both played the first down cheer at the same time, it was... not a great experience.
