I have no idea how Liberty can hang onto Hugh Freeze. Dude has as many SEC wins this year as Jimbo, LOL.
The dude of WV is claiming Freeze wants the West Virginia job. As we all know, the dude is never wrong.

Yea, hilarious that Arkansas thinks they are scheduling the routine late season patsy in the tradition of the SEC and Liberty beats them at home.

He signed an eight year extension, but then states there are a couple of schools he would listen to. Why sign the extension? Seems like a **** move.

I'm guessing the increased buyout funds which look like pennies to SEC boosters would mean quite a bit to Liberty University.

I guess that is a good point. He is at least setting Liberty up for a golden parachute if he moves on.

Nebraska is in panic mode, they no longer have the political will to hire CMC, Leipold is out, Klieman is out, maybe Rhule but probably not.

Have they turned down the job? I’m assuming a lot of coaches have been turning it down. But I haven’t been keeping up to date on this coaching search.

That’s a bit of conjecture. While there are quite a few openings already (GT, ASU, Auburn, NE, Wisc) they are still attractive, especially in the NIL era. Wisc will keep Leonhard as he’s doing enough with what they have to show improvement.

I could see somebody like Sanders going there and improving their recruit immediately and getting good transfers with NIL.

Rhule could be Auburns first choice but otherwise Neb is likely as attractive as GT and ASU when factoring conference, resources, NIL, etc.

Local Omaha radio guys were reporting rumours of Gary Patterson coaching NU for just a year or two to groom Mickey Joseph to be ready for the job.

Deion won't go to Nebraska, he'll get hired at a southern school.
