I feel like I’ve watched the same Iowa State game 1,000 times. At this point I’m just numb to the pain.
ISU Defense gives up TD early. Never a FG. ISU Offense struggles to punch it in. Dekkers gets sacked and stuffed numerous times. Dekkers throws a pick giving the other team a short field to score a TD. ISU dominates 2nd half TOP but still struggles to score TDs. We lose a close game in which ST costs us dearly.

Yep seen it many times.

Recruitment, special teams, and the offensive line need to improve before we can take that next step..
Dekkers was under pressure the whole game, I think KU's d line crushed 20 bags of sterzings during the game, nit exactly well conditioned athletes.

Yeah........I put this on CMC.

Who do have more confidence in......a freshman kicker who has already missed 2......or your offense.

Sounds like he has zero confidence in his offense, and put that freshman kicker in a no win situation.

He makes it all it does is get us into overtime. He misses for a third time......................? And here we are.

The idea of building up his confidence at the price of the others is short sighted at best.
There is zero chance Tom manning was leading that offense into the end zone in 35 seconds.

I would normally agree, but we were never going to score a TD there.

Holy hell, just realized ISU held KU to 213 yards. 213 yards and generated a turnover.

If KU has an offensive performance like that they probably aren’t within two scores normally.

Losing Brock killed Dekkers some. Brock is a stellar blocker... Silas was useless in that regard.

Defense played an outstanding second half, only to be let down by the offense.

Dekkers has to learn how to throw the ball away, and also how to lead a receiver on a deep throw instead of throwing at or under them. Did that many times today.

It's been 6 years, Campbell. Get a new OL coach (and recruiter) and get a real, new ST coach. We're gonna lose a lot of games in the margins at this rate.
I think Dekkers throws a good deep ball, not as great on a screen (80%) of our passes. We need to stretch the filed more!

FIFY. The dude has one thing on his mind. X. If he isn't open, he doesn't know what to do. He's got a heck of an arm, but he needs to figure out how to read a defense. He had guys open down field and X is getting doubled or tripled on the drag routes.

Immediate postgame thoughts without watching replay:

Offense:
* Sad we can only score one touchdown against Kansas
* No shortage of crossing routes (would be nice to stretch the field more)
* Kansas got 5 sacks
* Running game pretty pathetic (total of 26 rushing yards on 30 attempts)
* Too many turnovers
* Had some decent drives but didn't finish
* Feel like we need to be a little less predictable and need more ball distribution

Defense:
* Overall decent performance
* Beginning was rough
* Good adjustment in the second half
* Probably played well enough for us to win the game

Special teams:
* Muffed punt
* 3 missed field goals
* I feel like it shouldn't have been close enough for the special teams mishaps to matter, but if we take care of business here, we probably win the game

Referees:
* Rough start, but ultimately no impact and probably helped us at the end

We had a minutes left on 4th down then ran the clock and called the timeout. Minute is MUCH different than 30 seconds.
