CMC looking down a lot.

He's angry.
He should be. The game was there for taking in the 3rd quarter. We had the ball twice down 3. First time was an INT after Hutchinson dropped a pass on a nice hit by Baylor. The second time we went 3 and out. Dean whiffed blocking a LB on 1st down which led to a 2 yard loss. Shaw whiffed on the safety on 2nd down leading to a Dekkers 1 yard gain that should have been a lot more. Treiber barely got a hand on the DE on 3rd and long leading to a quick sack on Dekkers. Game was over right there. Just terrible execution in crunch time when they needed it the most, 3 plays in a row.

Some of those plays had some of the worst blocking I’ve seen from CMC coached team.

I feel really good about special teams after today. It'd be nice to have a Kene-like returner, but other than that, no complaints. Lol at CMC's next question in response to Randy's replay question.

Agreed. The offense disappeared for what felt like the entirety of the 3rd quarter (and much of the 4th). Would love to hear Jay’s/Bruns’ opinion regarding the 2nd half offense. It appeared Dekkers was locking on to one receiver also and made some poor throws. Felt we went away from the run game too.

Defense got a little leaky again and not much pressure on Baylor’s QB (concerns from years prior). Hopefully a blip and not indicative the remaining season.

I still don't trust the kickers, but Perkins has been really good the last two games. No coverage issues either.

You mean that hit that should have been considered for a targeting call, but wasn't?
Please. Cue the pic someone posted in the game thread, of that play. It clearly shows helmet to helmet contact on Xavier.
