Volleyball sleeves and Iowa State football uniforms

I posted this on twitter but thought it was worth sharing here:





If those don't show up for you, gist is that ISU volleyball uniforms have amazing arm sleeves that recall retro football uniforms, such as those worn across four decades by George Amundson, Bruce Reimers, Troy Davis, and Sage Rosenfels. It would be an easy way to do throwbacks with a modern fit. (I have pictures of all in the second tweet.)

Right? Gotta be pretty tall to be the tall girl on the Volleyball team. My best friends kid is a top 5 ranked Sophmore in high school and commited to Nebraska Volleyball. She is 6'2. Crazy how tall Volley ball players are in the female ranks.

True, but male volleyball players are as tall as, if not taller than, basketball players. I know we don't see a lot of top-notch male volleyball in the midwest, but Olympic volleyball players average around 6'8"

oregon state and nebraska have had throwback uniforms with sleeve stripes. I think a few others have also done it, but I cant remember.

Well this has gotten away from the orignal post, but the tear away uniform of the late 80s and 90s is the greatest look in college football history. Big Shoulder Pads and Mesh Numbers. Perfet

If I am thinking the right player, she is 6'2". Our tallest is 6'4". TOE had a 6'7" player the other night, and yeah she looked like a giant on TV.

Noticed the short pants are a full on thing now. A couple years ago it was a penalty to be above the knee and remember it being called several times. Must have changed that rule in the last couple years.
