Not exactly sure.

Why did Nebraska hire a used car salesman as their athletic director? He is basically saying he wants Matt Campbell when he described what kind of coach he wants.

Does CMC want to work for a used car salesman who quit ESPN so he wouldnt have to play second fiddle to the gameday crew?

Heard Trev was going to fire Frosty on Saturday night, but Trev couldn't find him because scott was hiding in the closet.

Have you seen Ferentz' buy-out? Iowa isn't cleaning house anytime soon!!
Kirk has had more consistent success at Iowa then Hayden Fry.

The delusion of playing in the weakest division in the P5 and having easy 7 to nine win seasons with bad teams, give their fan base the delusion they are a power house and expect to be in the play offs every year.

Ultimately, what Nebraska will likely do is go for someone whose a "big" name and a "win now" guy. I don't know if I see them being smart enough to hire a real program creator, although since Trev's job is probably tied to this one IDK

I don't disagree but the Pac 12 North was pretty horrible as is / was the ACC Atlantic.

Virgina Tech under Fuenta
Miami
Pittsburg
Georgia Tech dumpster fire
Virginia
UNC
Duke

How one of them has not strangled the life out of that division IDK

Campbell doesn't have an agent. And don't they have to ask Pollard first? That's a serious wall to get through during the season. Can just hear Pollard telling Campbell Nebby wants to talk ... then silence as Pollard waits for an answer.

there are go-betweens to gage interest before a call would ever get made to Pollard. They already many have communicated mutual interest for all we know. I doubt it is really anything going on between CMC and NU, but it is possibility they wouldn't fire him without know who they could get.

**** it.

Hire Gruden
He’s their man - makes the most sense at this point as far as I’m concerned. Had they waited, I would say they could have gone a different direction, but they might as well bring him in now. They were going to lose to OU no matter what, but if they are trying to make it look like they’re trying to save this season…hiring Gruden now makes sense. Plus I would believe he could pay for players with the best of them. And that’s really what Nebraska is going to want to do. None of this doing it the right way that they’re claiming.

PJ Fleck to NU would be absolutely amazing. I would love to see MN have the type of year that made Fleck a buzzy coach and have Trev swoop in an take him.
