Does anyone have information from the university that states that you back in? I went and checked out our spot last weekend and the electric pole with my number was on the right side grass(passenger side). It had an arrow to the left for the pad.

I believe this means that I have the grass to the right side of the pad. Otherwise, why wouldn't my pole be on the left hand side with my number on it?

So my assumption is I would drive in and back out.

I am guessing back in spots, but there has been no official statement that I have received.

Any word of you can park on the grass and utilize the pad as your tailgate area?

I think the pole is shared by the occupants of the grass on both sides of it. In this photo, the half of the pad in the foreground and the half-pad on in the upper right will share the post. I think the post is two-sided for electricity. The painted marking on the far half of this pad points the other way. F3F8FFB6-9CD5-49A9-B88E-C9E8C58554F8.jpeg

1 week ago I didn't see any paint saying grass area with arrow on the pads. When was this picture taken?

For the photo shown, this would be a drive in spot.

Still seems odd to me they did it this way since the pad is shared and only 1 of the 2 rvs can drive thru to their spot.

Do to kid stuff we wont be there till Saturday morning so it will all be figured out before we get there.

Could it be even numbers are drive in and odd numbers are back in?

Mine is an even number.

I see the post above states they are both on the rh side so both would be drive in

This doesn’t make any sense. Wouldn’t everyone back in and then you would be tailgate neighbors with the people diagonally across the grass from you so you get your full 14 feet of supposed grass area?

Going to be a sharp learning curve this weekend

That's one way to look at it LOL.

There isn't a lot of room either. I have a short box with a slider 5th wheel, but I haven't had to use that in the past in D3 lot.

What are everyone's thoughts on the "no leaving the RV Village on Saturday mornings"?

To me it is frustrating. I live in Ankeny where it you sign your kids up for activities thru the city they hold everything on Saturday. I have driven the lane going to G7/Haunted Forest and it is wide enough for 2 vehicles to go side by side. It just would be nice to be able to leave.

My brother in law and I got 2 spots on the same 110' pad, so we will have some figuring to do.

Did anyone get spot 800? We got 801, 802 and 804.

Just purchased spot 530. Bringing the family down for our first camping trip. Apologies upfront as we won't have a clue what we are doing and would be very great full for any advice from seasoned campers. Again, sorry if we add to the cluster.

Why would you bring an RV to a game if you planned on leaving Saturday morning, which would likely be before the game?

I’d assume there’s multiple paint jobs. You can drive through if the guy behind you isn’t there yet, if he’s not you back in.

Grass mgt will be interesting ...in other lots many "overflow" with tents, bags, etc into areas not part of their spot

This will be awesome though...enjoy for those staying there!

No they won't let vehicles come and go on Saturday morning is what I am saying. For instance in the past we have left to get ice, food, etc.

I don’t have a problem with the No exit policy. It seems like it takes long enough to get in (or out) of the lots, without vehicles going the ’wrong way’.
