Shave Before or After Shower?

I use an electric shaver so before, I always have stubble.

Your electric razor sucks, then.

I just bought a new one (the power switch was breaking in the old one - probably a spring inside or something). My new one doesn't leave stubble.

My wife and I debated a while back about whether it's best when getting dressed to put your socks on before or after you put your pants on. I told her anyone with half a brain puts their socks on before their pants. The pants slide on much easier and you don't have to get your pants all wrinkled putting your socks on afterwards.

Before. Need my face to be dry. Must shave before doing anything in the morning that makes me sweat at all (or sit under a ceiling fan to re-dry my face).

Should probably clarify and get out in front of this and say that said coworker and I were not in the shower together when he told me about this
Thought maybe your coworker was hot and she was helping with the undercarriage. Or he, not that there is anything wrong with that.

Before. That way you can then clean out the pores and clean up your face (and other stuff). Can't imagine showering and then shaving since the bathroom would be steamy. Would never work for me.

I assume people figure out what works for them and then stick with it.

I used to shave in the shower. The stubble is softer from the humidity and warm water and clean up is super easy. You can still splash your face with cold water after the shower if you want to tighten up the skin and close pores.

You should never trim your beard while it's wet. The whiskers absorb water so are both longer and straighter than when dry; you'll probably trim it shorter that you want.

Double edge Merkur 34c(shorty) with Feather blade before shower.

A quick google search has me really intrigued!!

In the morning if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1,000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub.

Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturiser, then an anti-ageing eye balm followed by a final moisturising protective lotion

I think this was part of a Friday OT topic within the past year ... specifically, order-of-garments when you get dressed.
