Miller and Condon

It's the offseason. They had AJ Green on earlier. What do you expect to be discussed?
Agree. Heck, during the off season the CycloneFanatic message board discusses topics like peeing while sitting down.

count me in the.... i dont like it.. i dont listen to it? idk

During the different seasons it's interesting coming off of fresh wins or losses etc. but there's pretty much literally nothing big going on in the sports world and too many unknowns around basketball and football.

Baseball.

Chris is a Braves fan. Ross is a Yankees fan. They've both pretty much admitted they don't pay much attention beyond their teams. So ... baseball isn't a big discussion point.

I will say, Sean Roberts and his crew do a good job of talking about MLB, NBA, etc. on the Saturday Morning Pregame Show.

Had the chance to give The Fanatics a listen a couple days this week. Honest question, is it always just talking about whiskey, beer, and interviewing advertisers and sponsors?

This is a REALLY tough stretch of the season in Iowa for sports radio.

Ken (and Trent) was loyal to a complete dirtbag human being.

I wouldn't say Ken was loyal to him. He was put in a tough situation when KXNO shuffled the deck and he got stuck with Heather...

People also over estimate how many listeners are interested in MLB talk. College is king here in Iowa, even if it's meaningless summer conversations.

I'm saying more so as in Marty was a crook. Scamming people left and right and cozying up to awful human beings (Luebke). No way did Kenny not know the **** Marty was up to.

It is the slow part of the season. They do talk baseball and NBA, but little about NHL. In all honesty it is this time of year that I don't listen much. I tune in again when football season starts.

Yeah if I want MLB or NBA talk, I know I'm not gonna get the best content from a KXNO show. Just the truth of it, and these guys aren't pretending to be experts about things they are not. I actually enjoy how candid they are about their lack of knowledge. It makes them super relatable to their audience.

I too listen much more heavily during football season. It is fun to listen in the days immediately following a Cyclone win or loss, or a Hawkeye loss. Plus I think they have, or used to anyway, a weekly interview with John Walters during football season.

I glean some things from the show, but today it has gotten downright smarmy. If these guys have spouses, I feel sorry for them. This fixation on gambling,if more than sponsor-driven, is somewhat alarming.

And am thankful for NBA on Sirius to get NBA coverage. Miller and Condon don’t add much in that department.

And the drinking too. It’s not good…

They are contractors versus most other local shows being employees. They are paid based on ad revenue. SO I imagine they lean into how they make money.

I really enjoy the sports gambling talk. To each their own.
