I would take Basile first as well so not upset about Wisconsin being the leader for VP.
I'm with the other guy above. BVP is ranked 'much' higher. Good passer. Better conference. And those in the know RAVE about his character. (Guess I assume that Basile is what some see as a more positional need? But idk.)

Basile has 2 to play over BVP having 1. Correct?

I think this would be an intriguing piece at back-up guard but not sure if it's redundant to Lipsey. 30% from 3 as a freshman in the A-10. Went for 25,34 and 30 in his final 3 games of the season.

It sure would be awfully nice, but point guard is the one position where I feel like his ability to shoot the three is down the list of needs he could add to the team. (well if we get other shooters that is)

I'm not sure this is the guy I'd really want to pair with Williams. He had some really horrible games against higher level teams. Preferably we'd find someone to start over him or about equal and we can roll with whichever one is playing better. I think Williams is better than Spears by a bit

But he was a freshmen. As long as he can play our defense. Tyrese had a few less than stellar games too, but I hear ya. I just want to go into next season with a 'true' point guard, that's all I'm sayin'. Not pg by committee or by default.

In my opinion, Ward, Williams, Green, Basile and Bates (and maybe one more G) would be a solid transfer class to work with.

I would also have Basile over Plas

I had a feeling Manny Bates would be interested in ISU, seems like he would be a great fit.
The only issue with this is I think we only have 4 open scholly's. 2 of which are already filled. I believe AJ could "Walk-on". But not sure if he's open to that. He is a grad transfer at this point, and with his dad being a coach, he should get majority, if not all, of his schooling paid for.

Williams
Green
Gabe
Basile
Bates/Ward

With Tre King eligible to take minutes from the 3-5 when eligible.

Kunz
Grill
Eli King
Lipsey
Watson

Bob Jones: hopefully doesn't have a chance to see the floor. IMO he seemed out matched in every possible way last season.

Yeah, if they land Basile and Bates I don't see Jones or King playing very much. Even if they just land Basile I don't see Jones playing much.
CW said King was the best big we had a couple weeks after he started practicing. So I'm thinking Jaz might be the one not playing much. Which leads me to believe we only add one more big.

I thought Jones did some good things when needed, other than never making free throws lol.

I want him so I can get a jersey that says Primo on it.

If TJ & Staff sign Ward, Williams, Green, Basile and Bates that would be more than a solid transfer class, that would be A+. Especially if you include Tre King. We would add starters/depth at every spot on the floor.

PG: Williams
WG: Green
SF: King
PF (2) Basile, Ward, Bates

Jaz is going to play plenty.

I would agree. Maybe King isn't going to play the majority of his minutes in the post. Might be a little old school but could always play King at SF. Especially if Basile, Vander Plas or Kunc can shoot a solid % of 3's from the post spots.

That’s a inefficient offense and likely a step back of defense.

Unless we’re kicking out Jones and/or AJ is #14, we don’t need 5 frontline guys, plus Jones and Watson. All while losing Hunter and IB.

Only one of the three F/C additions, Basile, having any real offense. And he’s the most limited defensively. That’s a front office in rebuild mode just grabbing assets- except we can’t trade them and we don’t get a high draft pick next year.

Overall I think we're gonna play more guys than we did last year, and we're gonna be doing a lot more with lineups. The coaches will know how to get the right guys on the floor at the right times
I would hope so. Enaruna, Tre, and Jaden werent on the floor much

He probably was referring to better than Conditt & Jones. Jaz can play the 4 plenty.
