You realize Iowa State is a helluva lot closer to the top of the food chain than the bottom, right?

The complete 180 that's going to go on if AJ Green heads to Ames is going to really be something...

I thought you said AJ is 100% not coming to ISU? Pros or UNI? I apologize if I’m mixing you up with one of the other UNI posters.

I dont think some of you realize how catastrophic this is. Remember guys like Fred Hoiberg, Georges Niang, and Monte Morris? Those days are officially over.

TJ is going be at an extreme disadvantage now and hes going to run into the same problem Prohm had with THT and Haliburton leaving early. He won't be able to replace them and when he does the next guy up will get bought by the Kansas and North Carolina's of the world.

The idea that any of you wouldn't do exactly what Tyrese is doing in his situation is laughable. As Iowa State fans, we don't have to like the result. It stinks. But to question the kid for going after a solid payday, especially with the hand he's been dealt in life, is truly absurd.

It was me. I'm still confident that that's the decision from everything I've heard.

Just throwing the hypothetical out there.

That's not the problem. The problem is that the top of the foodchain is getting smaller and hungrier. When that happens, it doesn't matter where you are in the pecking order. If you aren't at the top, you don't get as much food.

Tyrese makes sense.

The fans here saying these changes won’t negatively affect ISU are irrational.

Who cares if every ISU player gets $0 in NIL money. The geniuses here have assured us it doesn’t matter at all.

The state of Iowa benefits from two large universities that are in major conferences. Look no further then UNI and the down fall of their program/university.

Look I think Ben Jacobson is an extremely overrated coach, but didn't UNI win their conference's regular season title this year?

Are people saying it doesn't matter, or that they are willing to live with the results because it's fair for a kid to get paid what he's worth? Big difference.

Should the player’s get some of the pie? yes they should but with transfer rules they now they have more freedom of movement than professional athletes. If the ncaa doesn’t figure something out quick it will be a cesspool that is bigger than aau is now.

Honest question-- do any of you think pre-NIL that if a school like Kentucky or UNC wanted Tyrese they wouldn't have made it happen?

I think with a sit out year any star player on a major conf team stays thinking it’s best to climb ladder toward NBA draft.

Getting a year older without playing is death to draft status.

It’s the combo that is true killer.

Even if UNC gave him a million bucks sitting out a year for a non draft lock could cost him something.

Has nothing to with the player personally. Its what the Supreme Court did that caused this. This is only the beginning, they've officially opened Pandora's box and teams like Iowa State will be left in the dust scrambling to throw together a roster every year.
There was no supreme court ruling on NIL. Next.
