Even if it doesn’t end till 8 am Saturday, the interstate roads will be fine.I don’t think that’s good for Des Moines and those of us who want it finished early enough to clear roads for Saturday.

Agreed. I remember a few years ago when I lived in eastern iowa then I bought tickets to the Baylor game on like a Tuesday. Still went even though the game was done at 10 and the blizzard had hit at the start of the game. Took some extra time getting home, but interstate travel on snow is rarely that bad.Clear roads or 2 ft' I'm still going to the game. It's all about priorities.
Rusty Lord starting to back off on snow amounts in the Omaha area and timing it later on Friday.....
That is legitimately that dude's name?!?!??!?!?!
And don't forget Ankeny had randomly 9" in October in 2020(?) Maybe 19. Can't remember. Barely an inch of slush at my house on the southside.I don't know if the seasons have "shifted" temperature wise or not, it just seems like it's been rare to get much, if any snow in December the last several years, and we've been getting at least one big one in March. We've even had snow recently in early April as well.

Does anyone remember the year of the Big12 Tournament when there was a blizzard the next day? We got up early to head home from KC. Started snowing on our way out of town, but the roads down there were only wet. Well…it took us 8 hours to get home (DSM). It was awful and amazing at the same time.
