I was surprised by Brock's burst the last two games. The initial step looked good imoIMO it all comes down to OL scheme/personnel.
Teams wont need to stack box as much as yrs past. Monty/Breece made something out of nothing several times. Silas is quick as hell but not every down back and Brock didn't seem to have the burst we've been spoiled with (Breece). Guessing that is gonna be RB by committee.
It was a mix of route trees, WR separation, OL's pocket, and Brock getting antsy why the passing game could never open up more. I'm not smart enough to pinpoint which of those is the main reason.
All that said, I'm calling 7-5.
Nope, more wrinkles. A trick play is a flea flicker or a throw to TE who throws it down field. Our passing offense is drop back and throw. Get some halfback motion in the passing game or something to show a different look.So let me get this straight you want more trick plays?
Happy 2022!
moving on from the Purdster (No disrespect Brock) with HD. Brock elevated the program along with Many Many other great players. Gonna be a great year!
9-3
and the chicken hawks get Petras for another year.
