I think whoever we play will be better NET ranking wise than Chi State, so hey it's a win.
Slight improvement (thru 12/19): Chicago State 320, UT Martin 282 … Relatively equal.

According to ESPN, UT Martin is scheduled to play Kent State tomorrow night.Drake played UT-Martin yesterday and UT-Martins game @ Ohio State tomorrow was cancelled due to COVID-19 issues at tOSU, so that's my bet on the replacement tomorrow night
UT-Martin has had two cancellations - the first was @ Evansville which they filled with the Drake game, the second was the Ohio State game, so they have the scheduling vacancy to play in Ames.

To the cave !I don't think we're allowed to have threads about Chicago St on here.
This would be fun. And would take hours.Let’s play grinnell first team to 130 wins
One less risk to the team for covid exposure before conference season would be just fine with me.Would not kill me to have it remain a cancel. Have a practice and break for the holidays. It's not like this was some TV showcase or resume builder.
On the women's side #4 Arizona had to cancel Sundays game with two days notice versus #13 Texas. San Diego stepped in at last minute but that was still the weekend. This is getting pretty close to teams wanting to go home for the holidays to maybe find someone IMHO. Just seems unnecessary.

I think I said one less risk exposure would be just fine in my book.Do you really think athletes are getting sick playing competitions twice a week? Or perhaps it's the other 160 hours. The flights home, the gatherings, etc...
Also, the athletes have scheduled around a game tomorrow. Cancelling it on 36hr notice doesn't move the needle much for them
Selfishly no because we will be gone. Also i assume the team is going to go home over Christmas. If Chicago State can't play, I would go another direction instead of trying to scramble to find a replacement.
I would try to re-schedule a game on Dec 28/29. IMO the current schedule of a 10 day layoff between Chicago State and Baylor is less than ideal. Playing Dec 28/29 is more in line with Big12 Conference play turnaround.
Baylor has a game scheduled for Tue, Dec 28.
We should play as many games as we can. We may break the record for most improvement in number of wins from previous yearSelfishly no because we will be gone. Also i assume the team is going to go home over Christmas.
Wouldn't surprise me if team will be back in Ames next Sunday.Selfishly no because we will be gone. Also i assume the team is going to go home over Christmas.
How does the team go home for Christmas when they are playing the biggest game of the year on New Years?
