I would say that it went something very similar to this.

Worst is when you would get a solid hit but walked back to the dugout thinking you struck out. That apparently happened to me several times I’ve been told.

Girls/women are too darn confusing to naive/innocent boys/men.

Yesterday was free stuff day. Free coffee to start the day. Then a hat, followed by two large snack bags (not good for a guy trying to shed a few pounds), another hat and a jacket next, then one of those artic thermal coffee cups, finished with free bag of chips and a bottle of apple juice. Should have bought a lottery ticket. Even turned down a free piece of breakfast pizza.

To top it all off, found an envelope in a pickup I rarely drive with a $25 uncashed check in it.

Who is at the game today? I am, arriving about 3, parking on campus and slowly wandering to the stadium.

Was it your birthday?

We are in A3. Some of our friends say we’re nuts to always get early so early. None complain when they come to tailgate :)

See an old Dana House mate wearing a Hawk hat on FB. Disturbing. I'll give him a pass this once because he let us know another Dana alumni had died recently. Sort of a long sad troubled story I won't get into.

All day long it has seemed to be on the verge of raining but outside of a few drizzles we've gotten nothing. If it's like this in Ames it should be okay for the game.

Heard from KC and Papa Lew at the equator.

"Cy's legs were too short to go across both sides of the line, but his wings made it. We needed to have the boys high enough to get them and the top of the monument both in, so you can't see that our feet are also straddling the line. Boxster , would you please share this pic with RTT and tell them "hi" for us?"

Saw this on Twitter, had this toy set as a kid back in the day. Had the best time with this as a kid.

Ha, I recognize that but from my mothers house and she had it for the granddaughters to play with.

Farm sets are timeless though. Sister and I had farm animals and corral fencing etc and now my grandniece has a whole herd of little horses (well, one is a little unicorn). No fencing though, I think being a Montana girl she lets them free range. ;)

Even though it got a little drizzly during the game what a great day for FB in Ames. Beautiful weather for tailgating, not too crowded in the lots, just a awesome day. Game was fun just enough sprinkles in the 2nd qtr to make me put on my sweatshirt. easy watching game.

Little kids were fun around us, the little girl(probably 10ish) and her grandpa behind us were talking about cell phones she said nobody has flip phones and her grandpa said I wish I still had one. My cousin piped up and said this guy still has one. I pulled my phone out to show her and she giggled, and giggled and giggled.

We decided to leave a little early when the rain picked up in the 4th. As we were going out a group of little kids were chanting Cyclone Showers. One would chant Cyclones the others would reply Showers. It was really cute as they were exiting the stadium.

Overall a great afternoon and evening in Ames and at Jack Trice Stadium. A shout out to @BCClone, caught up with him up on the concourse before the game.

Had three showings yesterday one of which seemed very optimistic. Followed up with them all before heading into the stadium and haven’t heard back. #Frustrating

The MIL ate brunch with us again. Talked about this retired pastor who has been attending our church. MIL said he officiated her brothers funeral as a fill in since the regular one was gone. (This was 10 years ago or so). Not sure how she remembered, but then said her brother really liked his sermon. I didn’t ask how she would know her brother liked his funeral service sermon. She says several of these things that apparently nobody but me catches.
