Just eliminate punting. Go for it on 4th down every time. I'm serious.
With our D, might be a decent option!
The only reason I'm against Mevis punting is because I don't want to risk injury to our reliable 40+ yard FG and Out-of-the-Endzone kick off kicker.
Also don't want to risk messing up his stroke. Probably wouldn't, I'm just being paranoid. At this point, Assalley has lost the job. See if he can transition. Fun fact: Pat McAfee never punted in college. He was a placekicker.

I clocked Corey Dunn's punt to set up the big return 3 times.

Maybe it is just me, but it also seems like he is slower to get the ball off than other punters. I'm talking classic punts here, not rugby style.

Wonder if other teams will start bringing some heat.

Are we sure it got tipped? Looked like he shanked it right immediately. If anything, he might have shanked it into the rusher's hand who was coming from the side.

That's what I saw too. I don't remember seeing a replay, and the announcers ran with an assumption. It looked like a shank to me.

Dunn clearly has some issues on the mental side of the game. But everything about our punts looks different than teams around the country. The long pause, slow footwork, and then obviously the extremely low punts. It took too long to replace Milton, and we've already seen an improvement with Noel (sans one near disaster). We don't need to see anymore of Dunn. We know what he is. Time to find another guy to do the job.

I think he's slow to get the punt off to make up for his horrible hang time. At least he hasn't had one blocked yet.

Who cares? I’m still not going to shlt on a kid trying hard for my university. And anybody who does is a piece of shlt.

well he sucks at punting in games and has since he stepped foot on campus. Lots of people try hard, that doesn’t mean they should be on the field.

My guess is he is fine in practice which is why he gets on the field during the game but can absolutely not handle the pressure. That’s the only logical explanation why he keeps getting chances.

I'm assuming the plan was for Tyler Bittman to redshirt this year? The Kohls kicking camp website says he had the strongest kickoff leg... with the potential this team has and the glaring weakness at kickoff duties I say burn his redshirt. Wouldn't hurt if he could punt too.
