A lot of these clips work because Conan let him go. Letterman was good with Norm too.

I've always enjoyed this clip.
Norm is at his best when he's straddling the line between funny and distasteful, and he's making magic here. And probably my favorite is how Conan is caught between his obligation to defend his guest and his desire to let Norm keep going.
I never thought his joke writing/content was that great. It's 100% the delivery.His delivery is Hall of Fame level.

Agreed.Still one of the best delivered lines of all time. Conan almost falling out of his chair made it all the better.
Sidenote...CTS in her prime was an absolute smoke show.
