We once watched a show on TNT a while back, saw the first couple of seasons but then TNT started moving it around as they like to do, and we lost track of it. :(
I found the box set of all five seasons on Amazon & we started on them last night. It's scary prophetic, except nobody has nuked France yet.

Anyone remember "The Last Ship"?
Yes, I think I watched the first 2 seasons and then it fell off my radar

Learned my grandpa has cancer in his lung. They want to do a biopsy to determine which cancer it is. Problems are his lung wouldn’t heal, plus his heart is too weak for the surgery. His heart also couldn’t take chemo. So he has a couple weeks to decide if he wants to do either of those or just ride it out.

Was okay for a season or two than augered in with plots lines too stupid for me to suspend disbelief and keep watching. Was one of those, "Ah, damn, Sunday night and nothing on, maybe I'll watch this one" shows. When you start hoping for stars to just die already it's time to stop watching, and I did stop.

My sympathies. When my dad had an unexplained mass in a lung and exploratory surgery was planned, I did a lot of reading on lung cancer and most was not good. In my dad’s case it ended up being something else easily removed. First time having to contemplate mortality and life expectancy in my family. Never forgot what that feels like.

I'm sorry to hear this. Thoughts and prayers are with your grandpa, your family, and yourself.

How old is he?
You never know how older people are going to react to anesthesia. Best wishes for him and your family.

Will be thinking of you. We found out yesterday that MrsWx's grandpas lung cancer is back, sounds like he starts radiation next week.

My daughter recommended that to me. Have not seen.

Mine was sitting with my60 yo sis who asked me to come along to help. She said she had been told she had the starts of cancer. Dr mentions in meeting its stage 4, I was speechless, I was trying to comprehend that. Worst was bringing her home after she decided to stop experimental treatments with weeks/months to live.

seeing what appeared to be lack of concern with her kids still irritates me.

Lew and I went through that several years ago. He was 63 and in great health, and the tests and biopsies for the cavitary lesion on his lung were stressful for him (and me). My thoughts are with you and your family as you begin the journey with your grandpa, my friend.
