Future MBB non conference schedules

There are always buy games for the good teams in those tournaments.
Yeah, it's called playing Chaminade. Maui is usually thought of as the best pre-season tourney so I just thought it was weird we get an invite now when we've witnessed a horrible stretch.

Not by 2024. We will be rolling and competing for conference championships by then.
Hopefully, but my understanding is they pick based on how good the program presently is, not some projection 3 years from now.

If I remember correctly we got Maui the first time because of the 5 straight NCAA tourneys we had been to with Fred and Prohm. Its usually a pretty exclusive invite so I just thought the timing was weird.

i went to Maui in 2018 and had many Hawaiians tell us ISU traveled as well as any team they’d ever had attend. I’m sure that played a huge part in the events decision to invite ISU for 2024. They don’t care if we’re good or bad, they wants fans in the seats, hotels and restaurants

Orlando is an ESPN event, and Portland is probably an extension of the Phil Knight Invitational (since it's listed as an ESPN event).

The PK invite brings in some monster teams should be a fun one

The PK80 event in 2017 was a two-bracket, 16-team mega-tourney with the blue bloods.

The PK Invitational in 2019 was Oregon vs Memphis and Oregon State vs Oklahoma.

You are correct didn’t realize that, maybe this one will be a big one again as it will coincide with his 85th Bday
