I saw Hurl’s team play Fred’s team at Ames High. Fred was unreal. He had a baseline dunk that was unbelievable.

I would bet the under but we could get 5 or 6. 6 conference wins would be a home run piece in the rebuilding puzzle.

Six conference wins and you might be flirting with a .500 year. I think with the complete overhaul underway you'd have to be pretty excited for that.

I 100% think we should recruit him. It's 45 minutes to Waukee (from Hilton) and he can get to any game he wants to. Anyone know if his family is Cyclone or Hawk fans?
His mom used to bring him and all his siblings to church every week. I coached his 2 youngest sisters last year. The dad is not in the picture as far as I know, and the mom speaks little if any English. I believe she may have been dealing with some PTSD from Sudan. One of the older brothers has some serious legal problems.
Short answer, I don't think he has any familial Hawk/Cyclone allegiance, though not sure at all about his handlers since he moved to DSM. I don't claim to know the whole story, but what I know would lead me to believe that he's looking for a payday, or the surest chance to be one and done. Barring injury I would be shocked if we were seriously considered.

Anybody remember what kind of team the '91 Ames/Hoiberg team was? What was their final record, any other D1 players?
A damn good one from what I remember. Went to a bunch of the games. Don’t remember any of the players other than Hoiberg.

As for what to call the coach, I will call him TJ.....but if you want to include the “C” it would make sense to call him CTO. That would be consistent with other Coaches. C and the first letter of 1st and last name.

Agree, TJ best, or Otz, IMO. We all know he's "Coach".

CTO doesn't work or sound right. TJ never goes by Thomas or Tom as far as I know.

Been posted like 8 times. Lol
I posted it at least 3 or 4 times lol.
LOL. I'll keep it on file with the other 5000 transfers and the 100 or so ISU is looking at!

No, but seriously the repetition I think is ok, good in fact. It's in the right thread, and bumping it doesn't hurt a thing and keeps it "up front". People aren't going to want to cycle back several pages to get information, or new information.
