Best of luck to former Coach Prohm and his family in the future. Thoroughly enjoyed the great wins and appreciated the hard work and dedication to making men’s basketball the best that he could. The integrity he displayed is needed in today’s sports world. Hope for more great victories in our ISU basketball future. Best pay my cyclone membership now.

Okay something I was thinking about too, if we get TJ would we be getting Grill back or could he come back? He already followed TJ out to UNLV, who’s to say he wouldn’t do the same to follow him back to Hilton. Don’t know how transfer rules would affect that though, could someone shine some light on that?

Gophers made it official tonight and have thrown their hat into the coach hiring ring. They also used the "parted way" term.

Speculation late tonight from Star Tribune is:

Candidates to replace Pitino — based on early speculation — include San Diego State coach Brian Dutcher, Utah State coach Craig Smith, Arkansas coach Eric Musselman, Colorado State coach Niko Medved, Cleveland State coach Dennis Gates, Loyola (Ill.) coach Porter Moser and former Timberwolves coach Ryan Saunders.

Sad but probable. TJ will get some good will and probably improve modestly on the current 2 win situation (the bar couldn’t be lower). Most important will be he will come reasonably cheap and in no way will overshadow CMC and the football program. So it goes...
I’ve never understood this thought. Why can’t both Campbell and new basketball coach both be well-paid and powerful? Why can only one exist but not the other? Think Oats at Bama is taking any power or limelight away from Saban? Not a chance.

Going to be competing for similar names. I'd like to think this is a better job, but Minnesota may have the resources to out bid Jamie if they want.

Fred blows. Move on. Oh, and he QUIT on us.
Not sure. Some posters who claim to know his family think he's not interested. I'd love to have him, but he might just not be an option.

He is having great success where he is with all athletes returning next year and a chance to coach his son. Looks like he could ride that for another year as the opportunity to make a P6 jump will still be around

Well then we'll know with one phone call at least. He'd be a great fit and probably have a very good group of guys within 2 years.

If you aren't interested in talking with a job that's 1) better than your current one and 2) the pay is 5x of your current salary, you are a moron. You may not take it or want to leave your current job but, at a minimum, you get more out of your current employer.
