TJ is the fallback for the fallback choice, you only offer him the job if you have been turned down by others. The Homerun hire is Thad Motta, still young only 53 and one would think he has to be getting the itch to return to a program with a record of success and less pressure than OSU. If Motto says "no, happy in retirement" we need to give the shot to someone, that has success at the lower levels for a number of years at multiple schools. Someone like the former Wisconsin coach, a system coach that can find talent and get them to accept their role in the team, would much rather go that route then someone like the Drake coach.
If you cannot find that guy, then and only then do you offer TJ the job, and hope he that what has been going on at UNLV the past couple of years is something else than recruiting or coaching.
