This weekend, the forecast was calling for 6" of snow on 2/6. By Monday that had dropped to 0. I assumed there was SOMETHING in the models that was showing potential but it's of low confidence at this point. With those temps the air has to be pretty dry but man that would be pretty snow!

I went with the gfs, was more accurate last time.

It looks like NAM is calling for warmer temps and rain compared to GFS is calling for colder temps.

Travel trouble Thursday with ice, snow, and wind

Another week, another winter storm is on the way to eastern Iowa. This storm could lead to tough travel on Thursday with a wintry mix, accumulating snow, strong winds, and plummeting temperatures. As winds pick up Thursday evening blowing snow could lead to low visibility and slick streets...

So...this is going to be the snow event that is followed up with “don’t want to get out of bed” cold, right? February...you *****.

Already trying to come up with a tactical plan for clearing the snow. Try and clear once towards the end of snow falling at the beginning of the wind really picking up and then sometime next week.
