Oh that was a stock photo. I've got a stainless. One of your posters thought that my user name indicated that I squat when I pee. I'm still not sure if he decoded the puzzle. And fight me if you think that paperweight FN 9 is better.

Having a hoot on here myself. Getting engaged on here has been a welcome distraction to some things going in my personal life.

So it is.... duel at dawn. Or is it noon? I can't remember the duel protocol.

Well, when Ray Charles can survey your opponent's football trophy case and come away with a pretty accurate count it does diminish some of the thrill of being saucy.

So let's not go all kumbaya drum circle just yet. There is still a game to be played.

Better? :)
Gee I didn't know Ray Charles was an OU (sic) fan and tried to count your trophy case. Since he's blind and dead I'll bet he came up with a big fat "zero"!!

Huck the Beavers, whoops I meant little brother duckers!! Ha.

Since the border between Alaska and Canada is currently closed I'm afraid that I will be unable to meet you at the local 7-11.

The best I can offer under these Covid-19 restrictions is to shout very loud unpleasantries out of my Southern facing window while angrily shaking my fist.

Noon works.

Who? They were running spread, but iirc it wasn't fast break offense like Oregon and it was a couple of years after 2010 that TCU, Baylor, OU tec. started the same deal.

I think some people are unaware that Oregon was running a hurry up spread even before Chip Kelly arrived in 2007.
In 2006 Oregon ran 75 plays per game. Texas Tech was at 69 per game.
When Chip Kelly arrived Oregon went hyperdrive, at an adjusted pace that only 2012 Baylor would match out of any Big-12 team. Oregon wound up going a bit slower as time went on, but they were the trendsetter and the Big-12 adopted it later.

I gotta say I'm impressed with the Oregon fans that have come on this board. They know their stuff and have a ton of respect for us. We have had a few good posters from other teams, but not near what the Ducks are bringing. Respect!

Y’all have been nice, knowledgeable, and one of the best fan bases we’ve had the pleasure of interacting with in the past decade.

A very pleasant change from before our 2020 schedule was gutted and the combination of Ohio State’s unwashed masses and NDSU’s incredibly delusional D-2 fan base.

This is one of those situations where I typed a paragraph...it made me laugh...and then I deleted it all.

LOL Did LakeBison come visit your board? He hung around her for a couple of yrs but it's been a long time since he has posted.

Yup, LakeBison or El Chapo or whoever came around. As well as a collection of others from Bisonville.

They had quite the thread going over there about it. I checked back on it, and they are still of the mindset that they could have gone into one of the toughest places to play in the country, against a non-opt out Oregon, and came away with a win.

The same NDSU that I saw almost lose their only game of the year to something called Central Arkansas this year. Out of the last 15 top-10 ranked teams to visit Autzen only 4 have left with a win. Michigan State 2x, Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, Miss St, Nebraska, Wisconsin have all failed during my fandom to win a non-con at Autzen, but an FCS former D-2 team was going to. Sorry for the rant, I can’t get over their failure to grasp reality.

It’s easy to get that impression when you look at Oregon from a distance. Oregon’s talented, but lost to some weaker teams. But it’s not actually reality. The culture is good here. All our talent is young. The talent we had in the JR and SR classes opted out or went pro. There are two players we signed who are top 300 recruits left in our jr and sr classes, with 2 more that transferred in. Just at a quick glance there’s around 18 top 300 recruits who are freshman. The talent on this Ducks team is really young.

We’ve got speed and you guys have experience. The teams physically are similar, but I suspect you guys have better depth. It’s not so much a culture be talent thing. Our talent is mostly too young (there’s a couple stud like Thibodeaux, Wright, Hill, Sewell, and Pittman that impact players as freshmen and sophomores).

it’ll be a tough ass game either way. Almost no chance this is a blow out unless the TO margin is 3 or more.
S***, our CCG game was a -3 TO margin for us and it still wasn't a blowout.

Personally I will have nothing to do with either weapon. Both the Kimber 45 and the FN 5.7 would give me reason to pause and run in the other direction!

Fair enough then. <faces north and shakes fist>

I don’t want to talk to you anymore, you empty-headed animal food trough whopper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries!

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

I bolded the above so I knew you would hear it from here ....

Merry Christmas!!!!

After 5 minutes of biased research, I have concluded that Iowa State has a better history of men’s outdoor track and field than Oregon. My evidence?

Team records for the 5,000 meter race: ISU 13:10.95 (Jonah Koech, 1993). Oregon 13:14.80 (Bill McChesney Jr. 1982).

400 meter hurdles: ISU 47.63 (Danny Harris 1985). Oregon 49.64 (Pedro Chiamulera 1987).

High Jump: ISU 7-6 1/4 (Brian Tietjens 1983). Oregon 7-5 (Jason Boness 2000).

Triple Jump: ISU 54-4 3/4 (James Moi 1981). Oregon 53-11 1/4 (Spencer Williams 1989).

Merry Christmas, Ducks.
