I hate the CFPC in that it even exists and in how they dropped TCU from 3 to 6 for no reason a few years ago...but they've consistently been more fair to ISU than the AP poll these past few years any time we've shown up in it.

Every team ranked in front of us has quality wins or is unbeaten, there's no good argument for us to be ahead of any of those 8.

The AP poll hasn't been that way this year.

Rare air for ISU football to be sure.

I beg to differ on Georgia and maybe Cincinnati, but otherwise, I get it. Cincinnati, Florida and Clemson will either earn it or they won't. the rest probably isn't changing, but stranger things have happened.

I think Coastal wins it but will be hoping UL pulls it off. This Coastal team is a good team whether anyone wants to admit it or not.

Me too. Everyone wants the UL one back but I am still more upset about the Okie State loss. That first game was just weird with the special teams and everyone just being off due to the lead up. Okie State we just played like crap and still lost by a FG. We are better than they are.

Win the conference championship game and nature takes it course. This is an historic season and I'm proud to be a graduate and fan of ISU.

But OSU was #6 when we lost to them, and was still #15 before the loss today. Plus they're a P5 team which other people really care about. UL may be better than OSU, but the P5/G6 thing is important enough to some people that it may still be a net win.

Well, Georgia didn't play this week.
And Cincinnati didn't play this week.
In the committees eyes, we are the team right below them that showed them something worthy of jumping certainly Georgia...and maybe even Cincinnati. I would be shocked if we got as high as 7. But I was shocked they jumped from 12 to 9. There's something this committee really loves about this ISU team. So we'll see Tuesday night.

But Iowa beat mighty Illinois, so they move up to 7.

In all fairness to BYU they had a tough schedule planned ore covid and they stepped up and went to Coastal to play a top 20 ranked team. I respect that

Agree. Those that complain about Iowa State catching OU early also have to realize we caught Okie St at their peak this season.

Yet the rest of their schedule averages a 3-6 record. They've only beaten one team that wasn't below .500. We should jump them this week, but its probably 50/50. Its mostly irrelevant anyway. If ISU wins on the 19th, they'll pass GA easily and probably Florida too.
