I think the rumor around Ames at the time was that they were swingers. But I am not sure how credible that is. Having said that, these rumors continue to keep coming up and following him around, so I think there has to be some truth to this, whether it is an open relationship, swinging, or cheating.

I love watching Texas underperform but Urban to Texas is overall good for the Big 12. Texas has no excuse not to contend for double digit wins year in and year out with a few 8 or 9 win seasons as let downs. Bring on the competition.

I hadn't realized until looking it up that Meyer was only at Utah for two years and that Alex Smith was already there when he arrived. He went 10-2 and 12-0. It's pretty crazy to walk into what was then a group of 5 job and have a QB like Alex Smith on your roster.

Ya that's just it. Urban is great but success at the highest levels of anything usually comes with a ton of dumb luck.
