Spring 2021 graduation ceremony

Has there been any information posted on whether spring graduation will be a virtual event? If not, has anyone heard any rumors?

It’s going to be virtual. The spring semester itself, in terms of hybrid or 100% virtual, is kind of up in the air at the moment. There was a lot of teeth grinding to just get through the end of the Fall semester as Story Countys COVID #s were increasing.

It’s a good thing that the campus is closed for the Winter Term (no in-person classes are being offered during this time and all buildings will be closed/restricted access similar to how they were over the summer). Even if numbers go up after Thanksgiving/Christmas there’s a cushion to allow the numbers to go back down before having to decide on having classes go 100% virtual.

Son had two classes that were still in person for next semester. He changed them I think. Not sure if he will get out of his contract.
