I'm typically one who likes to visit opposing message boards during game week to compare their opinions to our own. I got to thinking... What fanbase actually has a comparable or even better board than CF? I would argue we have the best setup in the B12 but I have limited exposure to anything else in CFB besides the Hok cesspool.

I go to other sites like you do, and the only one I think is even close is the 247 site for
Texas. They have active boards and do a lot of podcasts. The other thing I like is they have a daily thread that just covers what is going on that day and then start a new one the next morning.
If you go there, expect a lot of arrogance and a little bit of ignorance when it comes to their discussion of opponents.

I stopped by the Nebraska Rivals site last year after one of their many hilarious losses. Realized that I was logged in to comment with my IowaPreps account. Naturally I commented "Nebraska sucks" in a thread. I got banned in about 15 minutes.

when i see an opponent message board that requires payment i move along. CF is the best, by far. Active, knowledgeable, and free (I do pay per month - it's worth it).
Yeah, I'm not going to pay to support another fanbase. I will browse sometimes, but I don't ever post in them, even the free ones.

I miss the old Shaggy Bevo. Was a little NSFW back in the day but there were some really funny guys posting there.
I occasionally pop into and post on The Gopherhole, mostly for the WBB stuff since I follow that team casually. It's similar in tone to CF. More ******** on their WBB forum than on ours though. Think that's related to going Sweet Sixteen, Final Four, Sweet Sixteen 15 years ago and than sort of tanking.

I think you have to an account to get to the good threads, but yeah their filtering system is pretty much nonexistent.
