Yup. Wasn't trying to be a tool. Meant it sucks he's having to quit this season to take care of family. Makes him a great guy.

LOL no. They'd still kill Rutgers. Hell, they beat em by half a dozen touchdowns when their coach was a dead man walking. Is 2020 KU the worst P5 team of all time?
No. Rutgers or PurdueIs 2020 KU the worst P5 team of all time?
He was just a talented clay pidgeon on that team. Good call.

Forget it. He's rolling.I want to say "Again?" back to this in the same tone Otter said "Germans?" in Animal House.
At this point I'm honestly not sure what it will take to get the KU football program off the mat. They have just been so bad for so long, and the hits keep coming.
If it was a Dan McCarney or Paul Rhoads type of coach for KU I would agree but it's Les Miles who has already won in college football's biggest stage and probably only has the Kansas job as a no pressure gig until he retires.Man, I feel for collegiate coaches nowadays. Don't get me wrong, who can blame Pooka in this situation - both family and his pro status.
But for the coaches who employment is results dependent, it can be high anxiety.
It's one thing when your top players opt out of bowl games, now they're doing it mid-season.
Kinda what I thought, but I do think he's doing this for his mother and you never know he could always go back to KU.With the immediate transfer rule for next year he will be in the portal and signed by a SEC team by December.
I think Jamie said something once that applies here. He talked about how each coach we've had, from Dan McCarney on (including Chizik!) filled a role in getting us to where we are today, and you need the right guy for each stage of growth.
They need someone to be their DMac to get them out of the hole. That's not someone like les miles or charlie weis. And then they need to give that guy some time like we did DMac (Dan was still 4-7\1-7 in year 5!). Theyve both been hiring the wrong guys and not been giving enough time to turn things around, and by having 4 coaches within 10 years theyve sent the message that time won't be given, so why would any up and coming coach accept that?
........ The Hawks had some espically bad teams in the early 70s I think.
Hawks went 19 straight seasons not over 0.500 (couple of 5-5 years). 1962 through 1979I have seen some ISU teams that could compete for that title. The Hawks had some epically bad teams in the early 70s I think.
If it wasn't for basketball I would feel bad for them. As it is, they can **** off.One step forward, two steps back. Almost feel bad for them, almost.
