Some harmless long term hypothesizing here.....Breece can't go pro til after his junior year, correct? I am assuming he is good enough to do so. Jirehl would be a RS So next year, with likely PT similar to Kene's this year. Then would be the likely starter as a RS Jr/Sr. Hope that happens, I would hate to see him leave. Still think he is a future star, similar to Breece.

After Jirehl got that first down, he came off the field to the sideline. Campbell met him, grabbed his helmet with both hands and said something for maybe 10-15 seconds. Then kind of bumped his helmet.
I have no idea why he hasn’t been on the field much, but if it is doghouse situation, hopefully that’s showing he’s making his way out.

He clearly has talent and I hope he plays more as the year goes on. I think his speed is on par with breece hall's actually. Now Breece is probably stronger/better at breaking tackles. I hope he stays the course and sticks.

I actually like the scat back in this year's class Deon Silas (wva and tcu offered him). But I think it is huge to reel in a stud in the 2022 class. We need to be putting the full court press on that, as we put backs in the nfl now (montgomery and soon to be breece)

I am betting that Lang will transfer out at the end of the year. He can go the grad transfer route. He's just got getting touches here. If that happens then we will be thin at RB with only Breece, Brock and Silas as scholarship guys. I'm hoping we land one more RB in this class just in case.

He's also currently hurt as he wasn't dressed against TT

Well since eligibility is frozen for the season wouldn't Jirehl be a RS freshman still next season?
Yes technically everybody can stay the same class next year as they were this year. But it would still count as a year for players who could get drafted early. I think Breece leaving after next year is already a foregone conclusion. Hopefully Jirehl will see his time is coming.

Been think about this rule and how to fully take advantage of it. Could a 2020 redshirt junior waive their redshirt making them a true senior. Then come back next year and not count against the 85?

I hope they find someway to get Jirehl on the field this year. I don’t see him waiting around for playing time and he’s has too much talent to let go.
Yep, I'd be surprised if he's back next year. Hope I'm wrong

Kene has been great at RB2 this year and part of why Brock hasn’t seen the field much. Still wished CMC would have played him in the 4th. The game was well enough in hand to get guys like that snaps
