I believe its a chain. All I remember was my Omaha friends talking about how hilarious it was that Carter Lake, Iowa had a strip club. Then I stayed in a hotel by there a few years later."I think" there's one out in Vegas, too.
It was in iowa city according to this atricle. It did close about a year after opening as the space was too large to make sense though.Burlington. Still Iowa, just not so Hawkeyie, well, excluding the newspaper.
What town turned Iowa State down?Iowa State was almost founded in Marshalltown. There was a debate between which town got the Veteran’s Home and which got the college. Marshalltown “won” the coin flip and chose the Iowa Vet’s home and Ames got the college.
According to Wikipedia it was Burlington. Which I had read several years ago. Wikipedia still has it as Burlington. I do remember Benner's grocery stores.
