Fans on the 12th or not ?

Masks have been good enough for the medical community for the last 75 years, but yet they are suddenly bad for you. It would be comical if it weren't so sad.

They are only worn by those in surgery when they are cutting you open and are not there to prevent any viral infections (because they don't). There is no science that shows they do much if anything in public.

There is no legitimate science that they are bad for you, which is what I responded to.

So, we wear masks strictly for style? I'm so confused . . . . .

The mask protects you if the other person is wearing it. A mask decreases the chance of you breathing it in a little, the other person wearing it decreases it a lot as not nearly as much gets in the air for you to breath in.

It’s only effective if everyone is wearing one and keeps a little bit of distance. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for people to comprehend.

This could easily be under control already, but too many people are too stupid and selfish.

Biggest issue I see Is there are a lot of people adjusting and touching their mask and face. Then they open doors or touch counters and then repeat the cycle. People need to understand that touching their face and mask is nearly as bad and they need to wash their hands or sanitize them before touching anything else again.

People need to carry around pocket hand sanitizer with them in public that's widely available in lots of places.

Obviously the noise won’t be the same, but I don’t think it would look odd if you look at how OKst is planning on doing it.

I hope JP has a similar plan whether we have fans in the stands or not. JTS is an eye sore when it's not filled with 60,000 people. I can't believe we haven't replaced the main bleachers in the middle sections at some point in the last 30+ years.

I would rather they use our limited resources for things that really need to be replaced rather than for something that is still solidly functional. How often is there much coverage of the stadium when it is empty in any normal year?

My guess is Sept. 1 the Big 12 makes a unison decision. They want to do that, I know. Gun to my head: 25 percent option. No chance they go with 50 percent IMO.
I think Chris is correct. I have some pretty good sources. Mitigation plans are being finalized. Expect an announcement next week. All signs seem to point to the 25% Option. I personally think zero fans makes the most sense. No knowledge on a joint B12 decision.

Dumb question. How do I go about opting out? I didn't see the option online when I just checked and I'm crunched for time today. TIA.
