For about 6-8 weeks the only place you saw anybody was at grocery stores and at gas stations. Except for oudoor activities like walking on a trail nobody did anything. Geez, even playground equipment and picnic benches were taped off. It didn't stop the virus but it did bring the economy to its knees. Not sure why people don't remember how spring was and how we were told to stay at home and the virus would be largely gone by summer. This was in small town Iowa and it was way more restrictive than even that in the larger towns and cities.

They absolutely didn't do it in the summer. Almost everybody, even the younger adults, largely did in the spring.

I think the NFL runs fine. I have serious doubts about college that I expect to grow even larger as classes resume and people get back on campuses.
NFL can really do the 'next man in' deal with bringing up players mid-season so they have such an advantage there if there's a few cases.
Although I don't know what their short term contracts are like.
I would say that if the third week of Covid testing comes in at that 2.2% area for the ISU tests, that we can say that the general pop. for Iowa (since most of these people are from Iowa) is in that 1-2% area. I would probably lean more in that 1-1.5 percent. Knowing what that age group was like for still getting together and partying, I would estimate that the general pop would be slightly lower than them.
Thanks, I hadn't seen it yet. I googled it quickly before I posted but hadn't seen it. Pretty consistent I would say, and some decent data when you consider 8k tests over three weeks.

Classic CF blaming students for something they are doing themselves. College students can't be out and about, but you want your K-12 kids go to in person classes.
You want football players to be upstanding citizens and totally locked down so you can have entertainment on Saturdays yet you need to go to your breweries because of freedom.
How do you expect young adults to even care about the rest of society when you give absolutely zero ***** about them their entire lives, treating millenials as a dirty generation for the last 20 years.

Millennials should be graduated. Its gen Z now that would be in college. Not blaming them for anything, I've just said they have not been sitting at home and have still been doing what they normally do most summers. If I was their age I am certain I would be doing the same thing.
Doesn't matter. Same generation of adults have been hating on young adults my entire life and Gen Z's entire life. Now they hate on Zoomers for calling them Karen or saying "Ok, Boomer". When a generation has held on to power as long as they have it's insane. I mean we're gonna vote between 70+ year olds in this upcoming election. Sorry if the young generation doesn't care about what they say about the future and doesn't listen.
For the record I've had blood clots in my lungs before and already suffered permanent damage. I haven't been inside a store, restaurant, car, elevator, touched, hugged, kissed, met with anyone or anything since March.
I am sad that young adults aren't listening to the guidance of professionals, including a lot of my friends. But to blame these students is so hypocritical of this board it would be hilarious if it wasn't sad that people are dying.
