My oldest daughter talked to a person on the training staff at ISU this past weekend. She mentioned we had season tickets and asked about the upcoming season. He told her, "its not looking good to have a season at all." She got the feeling the decision has basically been made not to play this fall, and they are just hoping things turn around enough to allow ISU to have a season.

It may be nothing, but lets face it, fall camp is less than 2 weeks away, and the numbers are still rising across the country.

I think we are all expecting that. It is not safe to play right now, and really not safe to go watch games. This sucks, but cancelling is probably what is best now.

Try talking to some people who are not from the US or at least watch some news outlets that are not beholden to the US. It has been awhile and I have little desire to travel now as they've made it virtually impossible.

I have. We have friends in Indonesia, Australia, Germany, Spain & England. It's pretty unanimous - they don't want us to come there, they think our president is insane and they think we are insane for voting for him. We are an international laughing stock. Sure makes you feel all #redwhite&blue #'Murican #butmuhfreedumbz, doesn't it?

Outside of these things I've been told we don't have a great rep in many places regardless of who's in office, and that rep isn't just some news network.

Was told by someone who lived in Italy that if you ever out to the bars, you could tell where the Americans were because of how loud and obnoxious they were.

The less boob tube programming you watch the better, no matter where you live but especially in those controlled areas. I have an aunt who traveled to like 97 countries before she died and I have a lot of the coins that she had left as change from her travels but I do wish I had been able to talk with her more.

Sounds like more of your goofy conspiracy theories. Where do you get your news OAN? I had to do a count, I have been to 17 countries, some many times. I have hosted delegations from many other countries as well. Almost everywhere I went people liked and respected americans. They almost all never understood our health care system or fixation with guns. I could not help them as I do not understand it either. Now many pity us - as they should. Our standing and respect in the world has been massively diminished in the last 3.5 years. I was in Budapest ( who also has a wanna be dictator) in 2016 - they could not believe that our current president was a serious candidate. They saw him for what he has turned out to be. Germany is clearly now the leader of the “free world.” How ironic.

I mean we are on page 62ish. You can only argue having fans in the stands for so long. That and whether or not there will actually be games. And sadly most of these decisions get made by politicians or quasi-political ADs/Conference big wigs
