Feels like Pooka Williams has been at KU forever. I think I remember him back when Perry Ellis' youngest grandson was playing hoops at KU a few years ago.

Purdy doesn't go to Texas, Sam does.

An overhyped athlete from Texas. Who saw that coming?

Seriously, I think Purdy's the better QB but Ehlinger is pretty damn good too. Can't argue with the selection. I was mildly surprised Ehlinger didn't leave Austin for the NFL after last season.

Whar Baylor? Hard to believe a team that went 11-3 (8-1) last year only has one first team player. Were they top heavy with seniors last year?

Maybe just a response to the coach leaving. I didn't think last year's group was necessarily lacking in talent, but I also thought that Rhule was getting every bit he could out of what was on the roster.

Surly, I thought you told us K-State had the best interior offensive lineman in the country. Does the media not know?

Actually, it was Pro Football Focus that ranked him as best in class and so on.

OFFENSIVE GUARD
First Team: Josh Rivas, Kansas State
Rivas currently ranks first among qualifying Big 12 left guards in overall grade (85.6) and run-blocking grade (86.0). He’s also earned a respectable 74.3 pass-blocking grade and allowed just six total pressures and zero sacks on the year.

Second Team: Parker Braun, Texas
Third Team: Bryce Bray, Oklahoma State
Honorable Mention: Sam Tecklenburg, Baylor

K-State junior left guard Josh Rivas has been recognized as the highest-graded returning Power 5 interior offensive lineman by Pro Football Focus. A regular rotator at left guard behind senior starter Evan Curl in 2019, Rivas earned second-team All-Big 12 Conference honors in 2019 despite not starting in a single game during the season.
