JUCO G Keon Ellis offered

One has to think, too, with news of the offer breaking shortly following the announcement that Zion is in the portal, that odds are fairly high he's a Cyclone next year.
I would certainly hope so! Offensively he his night and day better than Zion, I don't care that he's playing JUCO either. You can see it.

Ellis looks like he could bring some of what we've been missing but he's not the savior, we'll still need two more starting caliber players to be competitive in our league, hopefully we have one between Johnson and the frosh, then can pick up an eligible transfer. He'd be a good start to spring though.

Too bad there are no Rhoads-era CBs left we could have try out for hoops.
How about the freshman football player I believe his name is Tampa from Florida in his high school Basketball video he looks like an amazing athlete!

We have Indian Hill CC less than 100 miles from Ames, and they were ranked in the top 10 this year, and most years, and we are not recruiting them. Kansas is willing to take their point guard, but ISU is not interested in their talent. Makes no sense to me and never has.

ISU should be using IHCC as a filler program for bb, and using IWCC as a filler program for football. Way to much talent in both programs going on to 4 year schools for ISU not to be involved with both.
We've had luck in the past there, with Houge and McKay!

Seems a bit pessimistic.
PG Ellis
SG Bolton
3/4 Johnson
5 Young

To me the other spot goes to one of the 3 freshmen. (Blackwell, Dubar, Foster) If we add a Big XII ready impact player great but I think the pieces are there.

I guess I don't see him an automatic starter, other than that, all we disagree on is that both Johnson and a fr start. If you think we're good on starters, where do you think Grill and Tyrese's schollies should go? No transfer is going to want to come off the bench for a 20 loss team, they will want to start.

I didn't say we're good on starters. I think Ellis looks really good and would fill our biggest hole. If we add another player to fill TH's scholarship I hope it's someone that takes the 5th spot from the incoming Freshmen but I think we have some serious talent for that spot that won't relinquish easy.

I still think the team lacks a pg, ellis looks like a shooter.
Maybe Tre steps up big, but idk. An immediate eligible pg is what this team needs the most outside of knock down shooters

Look up Jamarius Burton, a transfer from Wichita State. He'd be a home run.

Prohm started following El Ellis and his coach at Tallahassee CC. Targeting more than one Ellis.
