Awesome! Cool to see the separations of the feathers.

I see them often while out on the streams/lakes and occasionally they'll fly so low I can hear their wings swooshing. If someone can't find some relaxation from that, I don't know what to tell them.

When I was in college or HS I went on a little run on the blacktop we lived. Not paying attention to much but my Walkman, I look to the side in the ditch just 10 yards in front of me and there is this huge bird staring at me. Kinda mangy looking, it was a bald eagle sitting on a road sign staring at me like I was lunch. I decided it was a good time to get to the other side and turn around. Didn’t feel good until I got the 3/4 mile back home. Thought I was going to get ambushed by that monster.

Nobody believed me at the time since there wasn’t supposed to be very many in Iowa, but when you see one staring you down, you know what it is.

Yeah birds are hard to read. Are they mad? Hungry?

Starting this time of year on, I'll see sandhill cranes all over, and half the time it feels like they're about to come at me.

Birds don't bother me too much but a couple of black bear encounters have had the heart beating pretty good, haha.

Okay, going to be in the 60's but the mere mention of maybe biking this afternoon did this to the current conditions, wind 20 mph gusting to 31 mph. My wind curse is intact for 2020.

Your spirit animal was revealed to you that day. You shall now be known as Mangy Eagle!! I have spoken.

Bought a new 24 inch monitor. Opened it today and all it had was a VGA type cable. Went to Menards and picked up a cheap HDMI cable.

Natives would tell you that's the greatest honor and a sign of good luck to be in their presence. They are amazing, but birds of prey are killers, and you can feel it.

Not an honor if it attacks you in my opinion.
Actually, they become men by sticking eagle claws into their backs attached to felled tree with rope and they have to rip them out of their own bodies simply by pulling away. I was lucky enough to see a real dance myself because I know some people that were accepted into the Lakota tribe.

Makes me happy for my mostly German ancestors. Doesn’t sound like something I’d enjoy.

Closest I came was watching people get tased for police training while an EMT. They offered to let others try it. 2 numbnuts took it up. Then the whole crowd starting chanting my name. I told them they were idiots if they thought I was so dumb that I would get tased for no good reason.
