Being 3rd, 4th and 6th on this team isn’t saying much. That doesn’t mean they are good defenders. They are getting scored on too. There’s a reason why we have given up 80+ on many losses even when Lewis doesn’t play 1 minute.

I would rather give up 80 instead of 90

We’re 9-13. I’d rather watch a struggling Sophomore and a struggling Junior than watch 2 struggling seniors.
This is where I am at. Get Griffin and Lewis lots of playing time and see what happens. I don't think anyone would argue Lewis is good at defense.

It’s an L regardless so give me the team that is more fun to watch offensively. Watching Lewis back cut and score in transition is so much better than watching Nixon or Jacobson brick everything.

Well I'll leave it at this. Prohm is feeling the heat and is trying anything he can to win. He's not going to sit a guy that gives them a chance to win at this point. Lewis still doesn't play. What more do you need than that?

The whole team is bad at defense and Lewis brings more offense than those guys who are slightly better defenders than him.

Its funny you give twins **** for defending prohm, yet you can’t stop defending Lewis.

Lewis is by far our worst defender. You understand that right? Like you can't compare him to our other players defense
Defender, maybe. But he is not our worst overall player. There are guys on this team that literally can't defend or play effective offense, shoot, rebound, dribble, or pass. Not trying to throw anyone under the bus here, but anyone reading this knows who I'm talking about

I just don’t feel like Jacobson or Nixon give you a better chance than Conditt and Lewis/Griffin. It definitely doesn’t give you a better chance next year either. Conditt and Griffin could use these games for experience. We need those guys next year. Playing Jacobson and Nixon doesn’t help now or in the future. I don’t dislike Prohm but if he truly feels he can save his job by playing these seniors, he’s already lost in my book.

What's more likely, Lewis improves his defense or Nixon/Grill/Jacobson improve their shooting? Probably neither, but I've seen enough to know those guys aren't going to shoot any better.

I can stop defending Lewis. It’s not that important to me. Just giving an opinion is all. We are 9-13, I think I’ll be okay if I stop defending him.

Yes, I'm being a little facetious here, but I can't help but wonder...do our guys ever work on defense in practice? At this point in the season, they obviously lack fundamental defensive principals, which indicates a real coaching deficiency. We're unable to put many points on the board, but we make up for that by not understanding how to play defense/rebound. Which results in us being blown out by 15 - 20 points each game. If we're not going to stop them, might as well try to out-score them. Lewis gives us a better chance at that than who we're playing now.

I'm done with Prohm so not sure what you're angle is here. Lewis is bad at basketball. Yes he's worse than the other bad players we have getting minutes

What's your take on CSP's time at ISU and who do you think is out there that could realistically come in and succeed?

If he doesn't make the tourney next year he's gone. It will actually be a very attractive job due to our fan base and not having to follow Fred this time around. We'd be able pull a HC from somewhere else
