Mornings are for pajamas and sleeping in. Then again I am usually up till 1 a.m. or so. Plus the weather is gloomy as **** and that depresses me so I ain’t getting up. **** it. I am only up today because I am visiting an old happy hour buddy at 10. His wife set up the time. He moved to a home recently because of some dementia stuff. Of course I am sure he is up and bored. He hates the home from what she says (and of course he does).
This. I self-identify as White, Iowan and Martian. I sorta mostly hide #2 these days.
Nice of you to swing by and visit him. Thought at first you were doing drinks at 10, and thought that would make a rough day. I think they all hate the home. My mom did.
Our dog also hides #2, seems more logical for her.
I have NEVER been a morning person. It was a struggle during my entire working life. I'm a night owl, stay up till 1 or so most nights. So yeah, I sleep late in the mornings.
I would have made a really LOUSY farmer!
Oh, I would have shown her how I slide the bone or any other joke you would have made. Her parents even liked/like me. We were set, except for then part of her liking me.

Dementia patients often have "sundowning" issues (my father does). Their cognitive skills drop off sharply in the late afternoon. When we visit down there, we usually bring him to my sister's around noon and take him back around four...that's about all the stimulation he can handle in a given day. He needs his mealtime routines or he gets cranky(er).
On general principle, obviously.

He's like 80 or so and haven't seen him in a while. Still use his euphemism for sex on occasion, he called it The Magambo which always made me laugh. Didn't figure out till years later that it was likely from the Clark Gable movie of the same name where he in a triangle with Eva Gardner and Grace Kelly.
When I was young drinking all day was no big deal. If I do any day drinking I have to stretch the drinks out to 1 every 1-2 hours and that is extremely rare.
Facebook just sent me a friend suggestion for a friends 16 year old daughter. I think I'll pass.
Because I still get up at 6:30ish, not 10! I’d have to go to HS days to find 10 o’clock get ups.
Also, because it’s fun.
Gotta wait a couple years or you will be in the same circles at WDSM and Pants.
6.15a Monday thru Friday, every day, for all of my working life. Now, it's 9 or 10. And if you think it's fun to make fun of me, let me assure you, the feeling is mutual!
