Random Thoughts 14: I can see clearly now 2020 edition

I swear every time I log on to Facebook another stupid has popped out a kid. jfc people
Oh hi. First sick day of the year cause I potentially gave myself a concussion. Though I'm leaning toward not as time goes on. Not really sure what happened, used the bathroom around 5am and was having lots of stomach pain and think I stood up too fast and got light headed? IDK, next I know, I very worried DH is trying to get me to talk to him. And I wasn't talking because my stomach still hurt and I was trying to make that better. Got back to bed and an hour later I had a hell of a lump at my temple. Also a great headache. We think I hit the counter. Also broke off four nails on one hand....how???
Then he gave me extra strength tylenol on an empty stomach so that went poorly. Also made him worried because vomiting after a head injury is bad but I'm like nah it's the bad combo and my stomach is saying no thank you. Anyway, happened a couple more times by 9am after trying to take another pill and a bit of water. Left it alone and slept til noonish on and off (DH was working from home today anyway so he was checking me). Then called clinic to be safe. They're like you sound ok but if vision or pain changes, go to the hospital. Oh, and they think the vomiting is a gastro bug because of the stomach pain. Or that I'm pregnant. Uh, no. Finally got a bit of food and water and then pain meds by like 6 tonight and that feels a whole lot better. Now I think it's bedtime because we have swim lesson tomorrow.......in the snow storm. Exciting times around here.

Just curious, who is taking swim lessons. The little one seems kinda young unless it’s just those ones that gets them used to the water.
For the kiddo. So I wouldn't even do it because we did this in August and it was ok but I was like nah never again. However, his best little daycare friend is doing it and we really like her parents and want to be better friends so we're sucking it up. LM is also a big fan of water and I was promised it's a warm pool (outside one was a bit chill).
Couple years ago I had one chirping at me. Walked around like normal determining which one it was. One thing led to another and I took them all down in the whole damn house and I could not figure out which one it was because I took all the batteries out of all of them and it was still chirping!!!! About an hour later when I was so incensed that I was about to burn my house down in a fit of rage I figured out that it was actually the goddamned carbon monoxide detector plugged into the wall with the back up battery dying. It was one of the most maddening things I’ve ever experienced.
Wife tells me that the car she is driving is causing problems. I get to it and tell her I will check on it. She wonders why I’m throwing my stuff into the car. I told her that we can’t just abandon it. So I pop the hood check the oil and while I look I’m surprised to see any on the dipstick with the puddle of oil I see on the ground at that very time. Think I have a new engine coming. Now sitting in a cold car waiting on a tow truck.

Well time to head to Ames and meet the niece at Great Plains then BB. Hoping for a better game than we've seen lately.
